I am a postdoctoral researcher working within the Computational Mechanics Research Group at the University of California, Davis. I’m currently working as a visiting scholar within the Institute of Structural Engineering (IBK) at ETH Zurich. I completed my Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at UC Davis and bachelors at Tsinghua University.
Primary research interests are related to the modeling and simulation of static/dynamic inelastic behavior of engineering solids and structures. Focus is on the development and application of a computational framework for high performance, time domain, nonlinear/inelastic, deterministic or probabilistic, multidimensional, finite element modeling and simulation. One particular interest is the propagation and dissipation of seismic wave energy during earthquake soil structure interaction. The developed analysis framework, along with extensive verification and illustrative examples, is part of the Real-ESSI Simulator System.
